Langer’s Deli / Los Angeles, CA
Langer’s #19: Hot Pastrami, Russian Dressing, Swiss Cheese, and Cole Slaw on Baked Rye Bread
This is going to be short and sweet. I have only been here once and it was a fluke that I even was there so I did not know a whole lot about this place but discovered one thing, this was the best pastrami I have EVER eaten. Opened in 1947 in Los Angeles in the MacArthur Park area and has served more than 4 million pounds of pastrami. I am not a huge fan of rye bread but they double-bake theirs, after receiving it from the bakery it goes back in the oven at 350 for 30min, crust is incredible. This is not the greatest area of L.A. to hang out in but you will not be disappointed with the Langer’s #19, AWESOME.
