Fazio’s Italian / Charleston, WV
An institution on Bullitt Street since the 1950’s when it was only big enough for a counter and four booths and a dollar bought you all the spaghetti you could eat. Sticking to the basics here, Spaghetti, Chicken and Veal Parm, Eggplant, Fettuccine Alfredo, etc… No one around here is worried about the caloric intake, gluten free, farm to table hipster food, as it should be for any old school Italian joint that could have just stepped out of a Martin Scorsese movie. Loved the little before meal plate of cheese spread, captains wafers, and a bite of mellon. Deja vu to eating out with my grandparents in 1973.
